If I had the technology we have today in undergrad, I would have been a more successful student. For graduate school, the educational tools I chose came down to what kind of textbooks I want? Physical paper books or digital? As an avid reader and someone who consumes over 100 digital books each year, that answer was easy. Digital books are the way of the future. Not only are digital books more eco-friendly, but they are also more accessible when you are on the go. It's available via your phone, tablet, and computer.
Through years of trying to read textbooks, I've learned that just because you read the words does not mean you've retained the knowledge. As an auditory/visual learner, I discovered Read Aloud Chrome Extension, and it has been game-changing. I can set Read Aloud to read faster and follow along in my textbook on my iPad. This way, I hear the words, seeing the words, and physically highlighting the words. This chrome extension has been extremely helpful in my learning process!
Below, you'll find a list of all of the items I've been using to navigate my Master's program. I really enjoy using these items and I hope you like them too.
